FAQs

If your question isn't answered below, please get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to help you out.

WHAT IS THE STUDIO FEE?

We charge a studio fee of £4.95 per painter per session. The studio fee covers material used during the session as well as the glazing and firing of your pottery. The studio fee is charged only once per session, regardless of whether you choose to paint one piece or multiple items.

DO I NEED TO MAKE A BOOKING?

Booking is highly recommended if you would like an weekend session. We do take walk ins depending on availability.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO COLLECT MY PIECES?

Your pottery has to be hand glazed and fired in the kiln. This process takes a few days. You can usually collect your finished pottery between one week to 10 days. Please note that during busy times it can take up to 3 weeks. We will text you once the pottery is ready for collection.

WHAT IF I NEED MY POTTERY IN A HURRY?

For anything urgent, we can arrange a rush service for an additional fee.

IS YOUR PAINT SAFE FOR CHILDREN?

Yes, the paint we use is water-based and non-toxic.

CAN YOU HELP ME WITH MY BABY'S FOOT OR HAND PRINTS?

Yes, our friendly staff will help you to capture your child's prints onto any of our wide selection of pottery. A booking is needed for baby print and we strongly recommend to avoid weekends.

I AM NOT VERY CREATIVE. CAN I COMMISSION YOU TO PAINT A PERSONALISED PIECE FOR ME?

We are not currently taking commissions but we do offer a writing service for anyone requiring a steady hand. Please see our price list for more information.

IS THERE TIME LIMIT ON PAINTING SESSIONS?

We don't limit the session times during the weekdays so you can stay as long as you like to finish your painting. During weekend a 2 hours session limit applies.

CAN I COME BACK TO FINISH MY PIECE IF I NEED MORE PAINTING TIME?

We are happy to store your unfinished piece until your next visit. You will be charged a full studio fee when you return. Please return in one month to finish the item.

WHAT IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG WITH THE FIRING OF MY PIECE?

If anything goes wrong in the kiln we will invite you to return to paint a new item of equal value at your convenience.
